[Daily Mail] A mother featured in the TLC series Toddlers & Tiaras has been shown encouraging her two-year-old daughter to watch her model a G-string bikini during a calendar photo shoot. Tricia, a mother of four from Oklahoma, was shown on tonight’s episode wearing a leopard print bikini bottom and a stringy black bikini top while SamiJo, her daughter was placed one meter away in order to watch her. The mother told the cameras: ‘My style of parenting is extremely different. I think exposing your child to whatever you can is just a really great way to be culturally diverse.’ She added that she had entered SamiJo, who has become ‘obsessed with bras’ and ‘loves Victoria’s Secret’, into a toddler’s swimsuit competition before she had turned age one. Tricia told the cameras: ‘I still say she’s 17, she’s far from two.’ As the mother is advised by a photographer to ‘arch’ her back in a more seductive manner during the calendar shoot, which was a project Tricia had initiated in the hope of raising funds through the calendar’s distribution, SamiJo is shown to be transfixed on her mother’s racy attire. Tricia said: ‘She knows, and has full comprehension of how the business works. She has a vast understanding that some seven-year-olds, six-year-olds don’t have.’
I was skeptical about this until I learned that SamiJo is 17, far from 2. I’m not the foremost expert on parenting, but my guess is it’s not commonly agreed upon that smushing your Victoria’s Secreted asshole in a toddler’s face is a positive tactic. “And this is how we split the peach, sweetheart” shouldn’t take precedence over, say, developing basic motor skills. I know cultural diversity is an important lesson in this ever-growing melting pot we live in, but with a 2 year-old this might be a little advanced. So, on the surface, this looks like Tricia just conceded in the Mother of the Year race. But you heard her. She’s 17, far from 2. I don’t know if that statement will keep her & SamiJo on the show much longer due to age restrictions, but it legitimizes mom showing her daughter how to make those cheeks clap in a thong.
