[Oregon] A dog that was taken into custody after devouring a Salem family’s pepperoni pizza has been claimed by its owners. The 5-year-old Siberian Husky, named Eysak, was reunited with its owners Wednesday afternoon. The dog was taken into custody earlier in the afternoon after it entered a family’s vehicle and started eating their pizza in an aggressive fashion. The incident occurred around 3 p.m. when a family had returned to their home after grocery shopping. While at the store, they picked up a cooked pepperoni pizza. As Alondra Figuroa, 19, unloaded her grandmother’s wheelchair from the back of the family’s 2000 Ford Explorer, she noticed barking. She saw a stray dog in the backseat of the vehicle, and it was “devouring” the pizza. She tried to scare the dog away, but it became aggressive. When police arrived, the dog was still inside the car, eating the pizza and aggressively defending his food. The dog was wearing a collar with the words “Don’t Mess with My Food” inscribed on it.
Anyone who chows down on someone else’s pepperoni pizza without consent is an asshole. Sorry Eysak, I love dogs, but that’s the truth. However, anyone who leaves their pepperoni pizza unprotected for something like this to happen is the bigger asshole. I don’t doubt Eysak felt a little guilty. Like, “Damn, you idiots are really gonna make me do this, huh…” But it serves you right, Alondra. No one leaves pizza up for grabs. Anyone who knows anything knows that shit goes in the house before groceries or your crippled nana, and even that’s dangerous depending on how many gluttonous savages you live with. But fanning pizza smell to the general public is just begging to have your Dominos Kobayashi’d by a husky in a “Don’t Mess With My Food” collar.
