[CBS]  Harford County authorities say parents didn’t realize they left their 3-year-old daughter at a Chuck E. Cheese’s until watching the 11 p.m. news. The manager of the restaurant told the sheriff’s office that Harmony came up to one of the employees shortly after 8 p.m. saying she was thirsty. The little girl was with a group of 14 people, including her mom and dad who are separated, earlier in the day. The manager called authorities after being unable to find the group she was with and deputies waited until 9:30 p.m. when they brought her back to the precinct and contacted Child Protective Services. The sheriff’s office also contacted local media outlets to try to locate the child’s parents. After the story aired, the sheriff’s office received several phone calls, including from Harmony’s mother and father. Both stated that they thought Harmony left with other family members during the party. Child Protective Services released Harmony back to her mother after authorities determined it was an accident. No charged are expected to be filed.

Seems to me like Harmony called her parents’ bluff…except they weren’t bluffing, and she didn’t care.  I wish I was as strong as a kid.  If my mom said, “I’m leaving in 30 seconds with or without you” I would be by her side quicker than Usain Bolt on fast-forward.  Such a pussy.  Not Harmony though.   (more…)

[TSG]  Chicago police are investigating the posting to Facebook of a photo that appears to show a young girl with her hands and legs bound and her mouth covered with tape. The picture, seen above, was recently posted to the Facebook page of Andre Curry, a 21-year-old Chicago man. The photo carried the notation, “This is wut happens wen my baby hits me back. ; ).” Hours after the photo was originally posted, a Facebook friend of Curry’s wrote, “U goin to jail.” Je’Vanna Cobbins, a second Facebook friend, wrote, “really??? Dre.” Cobbins, a Chicago resident, told TSG she believes Curry was just “playing around,” adding that, “I wouldn’t say it was child abuse.” Cobbins said that Curry–who once dated her sister–would “never do anything to harm anyone.” While noting that the image went “a bit too far,” Cobbins added that Curry was “being playful with his child. People play with their child differently.” The disturbing image–which began to circulate online over the past several days–apparently prompted calls to cops. A Chicago Police Department spokesman today told TSG that “detectives are looking into it.” Curry did not respond to a message sent via his Facebook page (where photos are only available to his friends). In a phone interview, Curry’s grandmother said that he is father to a young daughter, but added that she knew nothing about the Facebook photo.

Good for you, Andre.  Sure it’s unconventional but you know what?  It sure as hell beats deciding to fight her like a man because this little bitch got hand-happy instead of simply accepting the consequence for whatever she did to make dad slap her around in the first place.  Dre showed uncommon restraint in…well…using restraints instead of closed fists.  And before you say “well you shouldn’t hit a 4 year-old in the first place”, think about what a child that age is capable of.   (more…)

[Penn Live]  It appears assistant Penn State football coach Mike McQueary is consulting with an attorney with the Harrisburg law firm Strokoff and Cowden. Penn State assistant football coach and Jerry Sandusky case witness Mike McQueary has hired a law firm that specializes in employment issues. He is on paid leave from the university. McQueary, who is on paid administrative leave after getting death threats about his testimony about allegations against Jerry Sandusky, has made no public comment since the charges were filed and he was identified by a grand jury as being a key witness to the case. Sandusky has been charged with sexually assaulting boys. Strokoff and Cowden on its website lists employment law as the first specialty. A receptionist who answered the phone there said the attorney representing McQueary wasn’t available. She couldn’t not comment on which attorney one is handling the case. McQueary was put on administrative leave after Penn State President Rodney Erickson said it became clear he could not act in the capacity of his job. Last week, when asked about why McQueary was still on staff while others — coach Joe Paterno, president Graham Spanier, athletic director Tim Curley, vice president Gary Schultz — had been fired, stepped down or resigned, university trustee member Gov. Tom Corbett said McQueary’s status as a witness to the case and his role as a whistleblower were being taken into consideration.

Yep.  There’s only one solution to the pedophilia, rape, molestation & sex trafficking scandal – perhaps the most heinous scandal ever to stem from sport.  What is the solution, you ask?   (more…)

Well no shit she’s gonna be pissed, Ameleah.  I don’t think she’ll be too concerned about the car though. I mean a 5 year-old taking the initiative to hop in the Chevy & find her missing mom is actually something a parent should be proud of.  Sure, her daughter offset those smarts a bit by sitting home alone in the dark for a few hours instead of flipping a fucking light switch – but, having a 6 year-old roommate myself, I know all too well their flashes of brilliance are balanced by utter retardation quite often.  So…what’s Ameleah’s mom got to be pissed about?   (more…)

[KCTV5]  The task for the fresh-faced kindergartner students was to bring important family items for show and tell. But one kindergartner floored his teacher and local law enforcement officers when police say he pulled his mother’s crack pipe and an ounce of drugs from his backpack. The child’s mother was charged with possession of a controlled substance and one count of first-degree child endangerment. Bond was set at $7,500 for 32-year-old Michelle Marie Cheatham. A family friend at Cheatham’s home told KCTV5 that the boy is now being cared for by loved ones. Sweet Springs Elementary School officials contacted police on Sept. 6 about 8:30 a.m. Superintendent Donna Wright told police that students had been asked to bring “pictures of their family for show and tell,” according to court documents. The teacher told police that the boy produced for his “show-and-tell” family items the pipe and “several baggies of crack rocks,” according to court records. The rocks tested positive for methamphetamine. Altogether, the drugs totaled about an ounce and were worth about $3,700, officials said Monday. A search warrant was executed at Cheatham’s home and a police dog named “Boomer” found a crack pipe, according to court records. Charges were filed Sept. 12. Police Chief Richard Downing told KCTV5 Monday that a child bringing drugs to show and tell was a first for his law enforcement career. The circumstances of the arrest also flabbergasted neighbors. A source close to the investigation said Cheatham’s life began spiraling out of control after her husband died earlier this year in a car crash and she received a sizeable military pension.

You know the saying, “the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree?” Well here it is folks, just gleaming in front of your faces, like a hot crack rock glowing in a piece of glass tube. I’m surprised that this kid couldn’t bring something a little more interesting, honestly. You go to an inner-city school and you bring in Mom’s crack pipe to show and tell? Big whoop, get in line buddy.   (more…)

Ok, let’s get something out of the way first. Leaving your kid in your car on a hot day while you go shopping in Kmart is one of the worst fucking things you can do as a parent. Anyone who loves their kid is going to shop at Target, at least. Maybe Kohls. (more…)

[Seattle PI]  A strange quirk in the law is allowing an accused child rapist to watch child pornography inside the Pierce County Jail. Marc Gilbert is accused of sexually assaulting young boys and videotaping the abuse. Under the law, defense attorneys are allowed to review material tied to the case. And because Gilbert has chosen to act as his own attorney, he has had unlimited access to the pornographic footage. Therefore, the jail says it has no choice but to allow Gilbert to review the footage times over with no limits. Restricting his access would risk a mistrial. Investigators seized from Gilbert’s possession more than 100 DVDs containing 28 hours of pornographic footage. Some of the material was allegedly shot by the former jet pilot, and feature the young boys he’s accused of luring to his home and exploiting. The prosecutor and the sheriff say the results of the legal loophole are sickening in this case, but say the state Supreme Court has ruled in Gilbert’s favor. To make sure no other inmates get a chance to see the pornography, Gilbert is made to review them in a separate room.

Hoooooooly moly.  This is pretty bad news for Scrody.  Whether or not he’s down with pedophilia aside, this certainly puts into perspective the “Oh, stop it honey – I’m only surfing the web for knockers for research purposes.  Mugs ‘n Jugs ain’t gonna post itself!”  excuse.  Because if you honestly believe that, then you honestly believe Marc Gilbert’s not strangling his sausage behind closed doors while ‘carefully reviewing the evidence’…and if you honestly believe THAT, then you’re just a fucking idiot.   (more…)
