[Star Tribune]  An Oakdale high school senior is being prevented from bringing his chosen date — a porn actress — to prom. Mike Stone tweeted one member after another in that profession, seeking someone willing to go to the Tartan High School prom at Landmark Center in St. Paul. Megan Piper said on her Twitter account that she’d love to accompany the 18-year-old to his rite of passage May 12 as long as Stone paid for her transportation from California. Patty Phillips, superintendent of District 622, said Wednesday in a written statement that Piper would be unwelcome. “This prom date will not be allowed to attend the Tartan prom as her attendance would be prohibited under Tartan’s standard prom procedures and would be inconsistent with two school district policies,” one covering visitors and the other addressing school-sponsored student activities. The visitor policy reads, in part, that access is allowed unless “the visit is not in the best interest of students, employees or the school district.” The activities policy prohibits, among other things, any act that “substantially disrupts the orderly operation of school or school activities.” Jennifer McNeil, spokeswoman for the North St. Paul-Maplewood-Oakdale School District, said that prom procedures require that all dance guests have their names submitted and cleared by school officials before attending. Stone and Piper did not immediately respond to requests seeking comment. McNeil said that Stone is not in any trouble at school for his unorthodox approach to getting a prom date.

Whether or not she goes to the prom with this dude is irrelevant – obviously the goal here is to nail her. He’s 18, it’s legit.  I just hope Megan doesn’t suffer from an attack of bogus conscience and drop Mike like a Nick Manning load.  Listen, honey, only the most dedicated of perverts know who the fuck you are.  That is until Mike Stone put your pussy on the map of mainstream spank banks with his invitation(more…)

[HP] COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The wave of uprisings across North Africa and the Middle East that have overturned three governments in the past year have prompted the U.S. government to begin developing guidelines for culling intelligence from social media networks, a top Homeland Security official said Monday. Department of Homeland Security Undersecretary Caryn Wagner said the use of such technology in uprisings that started in December in Tunisia shocked some officials into attention and prompted questions of whether the U.S. needs to do a better job of monitoring domestic social networking activity. “We’re still trying to figure out how you use things like Twitter as a source,” she said. “How do you establish trends and how do you then capture that in an intelligence product?”

Well this is some scary shit. Homeland security is about to start tracking our every move using Facebook and Twitter. They plan on harnessing the power of the internet to find out highly personal and sensitive information on the millions of people using social networking sites regularly. Oh, I don’t want to be misunderstood though. I don’t mean it’s scary in an Orwellian, 1984, Big Brother sort of way. What’s scary is that they’re just starting to figure this out now. We have an entire government agency designed to gather as much information as they can on specific individuals and they never once thought of creeping on Facebook? Unbelievable. That’s step number one any time you need to do some stalking. I’m reading this and thinking to myself, (more…)

It’s cool that Kevin Durant showed up to this frat bro’s game. Looks like everyone had a great time and at least the pros are keeping fans interested even if no actual NBA games are happening. But I’m not gonna lie. (more…)

Nice try, buddy.  You would’ve had me too if it weren’t for the ‘correction’ tweet.  Like, ‘wait, I need another week to finish recording my post-mortem record’.  Don’t piss on my head and call it formaldehyde…

Hey LeBron you seem to be the only one crying about this.  Even Tebow was like “OK Merrill, thanks for the fuel”.  Who’s hating?  Hoge is paid to give his opinion and doesn’t think TT is gonna cut it in the NFL. Not everybody has to jerk everybody off, dude.  I know you’d like to think that you can relate to Tebow with all the ‘hate’ but the difference is people really do hate you.  You earned it.   (more…)

[Washington Post]  Lawsuits after car crashes are beyond common. But in the Fairfax County courthouse, a lawsuit about a crash on the Beltway last year is dropping a few jaws as it makes the rounds and heads toward trial next week. Among the latest allegations in the lawsuit pending in Fairfax County Circuit Court:

Paragraph 10. “At the time of the collision, Defendant was going 85 miles per hour.”

Paragraph 12. “At the time of the collision, Defendant was having sex with a female.”

Paragraph13. “At the time of the collision, Defendant was driving admittedly drunk.”

Paragraph 14. “At the time of the accident, Defendant was partially or totally in the backseat of the car.”

Records show the defendant, from Woodbridge, was convicted in Fairfax district court of drunken driving near Telegraph Road in May 2010. But now he denies he was driving. He was coming from his 21st birthday party in Baltimore, court records state. The woman involved has been dismissed from the case. There was someone ELSE in the car too, and HE denies driving as well. The defendant’s lawyer, Frank Prior, said there was “no statement by anyone that they were driving on the Beltway having sex” and “no facts on it.” The plaintiff, a 28-year-old cab driver, is seeking $75,000 in damages and is represented by Douglas R. Stevens, who declined to comment beyond his court filings. But Stevens sought punitive damages against the defendant and the friend, arguing in a pleading that “having sex at 85 miles per hour while drunk on a freeway is willful and wanton negligence.”

Willful and wanton negligence?  That’s not what I’d call having drunken sex in the back seat while ghost-riding your car at 85 MPH on a freeway for your 21st birthday with a buddy watching.  I’d call it the ‘epitome of awesome’.   (more…)

[Daily Mail]  This hoax picture, posted on the internet and passed on by email and Twitter, is causing problems for fast food giant McDonald’s. Some people found it funny and passed it on with comments – others found it racist and passed it on with abuse aimed at the fast food giant. McDonald’s is not charging its African-American customers an extra $1.50 ‘as an insurance measure due in part to a recent string of robberies’, but the company is having a hard time suppressing the libel. The New York-based gossip website Gawker reports that the prank picture is old. It began recirculating a few days ago, this time by Twitter, appearing on twitpic, tweeted and retweeted with the words ‘Seriously McDonalds’. However, some were quickly wise to the fake. One Twitter user commented: ‘We called that 800 number you see at the bottom of the sign, and it connected to the KFC Customer Satisfaction Hotline.’ On Saturday, McDonald’s stated in a tweet of its own: ‘That pic is a senseless & ignorant hoax. McD’s values ALL our customers. Diversity runs deep in our culture on both sides of the counter.’ And, in an official statement, Rick Wion, McDonald’s director of social media reiterated: ‘The sign is obviously a hoax. As a company and a brand we have a long and proud history of diversity inclusion across our system on both sides of the counter. ‘From our management crew, franchisees – across the board, we’re very proud of our record of diversity. This is unfortunately an example of how rumors can outspeed the truth. ‘Over the last 48 hours we’ve been tweeting and striving to clarify that this is a hoax.’ The picture has now been removed from Twitpic.

I don’t understand this philosophy at all. McDonald’s obviously knows that African-Americans can’t afford the extra charge, so all they’re doing is losing their black customers. They’ll never step foot inside another McDon…ohhhhhh. You sly sons of bitches. I’m with you now. (more…)
